Girls love it. One called me a "genius". If today is any
indication, I'm going to have to ride in the back of a limo with
the windows rolled up :D And that is just the big clunky first
version.

The obvious need for improvement is because the first version is
massively too heavy, probably about 30 pounds at the wheel behind
me. Need to convert from Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) to a better
battery technology. It works fine at moderate speeds, and that is
okay for now, but it wobbles a bit at faster speeds. Faster will
be fun without the wobble.

My feet are having to adjust. Apparently putting much pressure on
my heels, maybe caused by (subconscious or reflex) concern about
being pushed over forwards.

There are some videos of a gas powered version of a push stick on
YouTube, called a Roller Cycle. The way I ride, and sometimes at
night, there is no way I could use a gas powered motor.

Good luck and have fun.

But it is a monster. It weighs probably at least 30 pounds, all at
the wheel in back.

Have had two structural failures so far. The first time, the
handlebar stem twisted in its socket. So I had to ride it back one or
2 miles in its twisted position. Fixed. This second failure was
today, the handlebar joint cracked (but stayed in place) where it
meets the handlebar stem. Was about 3 miles from home. Carefully rode
it back home, stopping at Wal-Mart to buy some groceries. The crack
worsened and the handlebar completely broke off about 2 1/2 blocks
from home. So, with my groceries slung over my shoulder, I picked up
the 30 pound push stick and skated the rest of the way.

Kind of like Star Trek's saucer separation routine, except that I had
to carry the other part.

Again, it looks something like this.

But mine uses a quiet electric motor.
Check out the "Roller Cycle On Grass" video.
Radical, looks like he is using Rollerblade Coyotes.
My big front wheel skates, or similar with pneumatic tires, would be
a great complement to that radical roller cycling.

I might consider making some off-road pneumatic wheel/tire skates.
Not sure if they will perform/steer/maneuver well enough to replace
my big wheel skates. Might also just replace the big front wheel with
a pneumatic wheel. Since I typically do not have to push, better
padding of the insoles is another option.

Cannot wait until mine is lightweight and sturdy, and maybe fast, it
should rock. Should work well for going up and down curbs too. The
current monster does not, going up a curb is how the handlebar
cracked off. Should be easy enough to fix.
